I went to HoHoKam my first Spring Training trip and haven't been back since the remodel. Of course, there are plenty of shopping options downtown. Mesa is home to a highly rated arts center as well as an Air Force Museum which allows you the opportunity to take a flight in a classic warplane. If you have a kid who wants a picture or autograph, get there during warm ups and you'll probably score. There, fans can choose from a variety of beverages, plop them on chest high ledges and enjoy a great, shaded view of the game. Large HD video boards add to the updated look but the real winners are the patio areas down each baseline. The sight lines in this stadium are great and the renovations make this a very nice park that still has an intimate, old time Spring Training feel. However, due to recent renovations, HoHoKam is a very nice game experience. Built in 1977 and formerly home of the Cubs, HoHoKam has been recently refurbished for Oakland, the building's original tenant. the A's play in one of the oldest stadiums in the Cactus League.
